A. How is the profit of a PlusBase order calculated?

On PlusBase, customers can add and check out both Dropshipping and Print-on-demand products in a single order. When an order contains both Dropshipping and POD items, the total profit is determined by summing the profits of each product type using the following formulas:

1. For Dropshipping products

The profit for each order is calculated using the following formula:

Profit = Revenue - Total base cost - Shipping cost - Handling fee

In which:

Revenue = Order subtotal - Total discount (if any) + Tip (if any) - Tax (if any)❶ + Shipping
Shipping = The actual order shipping fee that the Buyer paid to the Seller
Shipping cost = The total shipping cost of the order that is set in the product's quotation in Catalog.
Total base cost = Sum of [Base cost of each product x Quantity]
Handling fee = Payment fee + Processing fee
Payment fee = Order total x 4%
Processing fee = [Order total x 48% x Processing rate❷] + [Order total x 1.2%]

❶ Tax is only included if the setting for Show all prices with tax included is enabled in Settings > Taxes.
❷ The processing rate (%) in the processing fee is based on the product's risk level. This rate can vary depending on the product and the time of the order creation. You can check the processing rate of each product in the product catalog and product admin page.

For orders fulfilled through AliExpress, there may be additional surcharges, such as taxes. PlusBase will charge a similar fee to cover these costs. The surcharges and profit will be updated once the tracking number is available.

For orders with $0.00 profit, if any action is taken on your order (for example, order cancellation and refund, payout hold for closer account inspection), you will receive an email notification from the ShopBase Moderation Team. If the order has been fulfilled, the Seller will bear all fees incurred during the order's processing.

2. For Print-on-demand products

The profit of each order is calculated using the following formula:

Profit = Revenue - Total base cost + Adjustment of shipping fee (if any) - Handling fee

In which:

Revenue = Order subtotal + Extra fee for custom option - Store discount (if any) (shipping fee and taxes are not included)❸
Total base cost = Sum of [Base cost of each product x Quantity]
Adjustment of shipping fee = Actual shipping fee - PrintBase default shipping cost. If you set a new shipping fee for an item higher than the PrintBase default shipping fee, you will get the adjusted amount (after deducting the payment fee) as a profit. On the contrary, if the new shipping fee is lower, the adjusted amount will be deducted to your profit.
Actual shipping fee = The actual order shipping fee that the Buyer paid to the Seller
PrintBase default shipping cost = The default shipping cost of the order before any shipping fee adjustment is made. You can refer to the PrintBase Product Catalog to see the default shipping cost of each base products.
Handling fee = Payment fee + Processing fee
Payment fee = Order total x 4%
Processing fee = [Order total x 48% x Processing rate❹] + [Order total x 1.2%]

❸ Shipping fee or US sales tax (if applicable) will be deducted from your profit if the settings for Free shipping rates is enabled in Settings > Shipping and Show all prices with tax included is enabled in Settings > Taxes.
❹ The processing rate (%) in the processing fee is based on the product's risk level. This rate can vary depending on the product and the time of the order creation.

For orders with $0.00 profit, if any action is taken on your order (for example, order cancellation and refund, payout hold for closer account inspection), you will receive an email notification from the ShopBase Moderation Team. If the order has been fulfilled, the Seller will bear all fees incurred during the order's processing.

B. How to view PlusBase order's profit?

On PlusBase store admin, go to Orders > All Orders. Click on the order you want to view the order profit to be directed to its detail page.

Scroll down to Your profit section, click Show calculation to see the details on how your order profit is calculated. Here, you can quickly track the total profit of your order, including the revenue, basecost, and other handling fees (payment fee and processing fee).

It can take a little longer for the system to calculate your order profit after the order is successfully checked out by the customer.

In case of cancellation or refund, all reasons will be logged in order's timeline.

Then, the net profit of your order will be calculated using the following formula:

Net profit = Original profit - Refund amount from the merchant to the customer + Refund amount to the merchant.

In which:

Refund amount from the merchant to the customer = Subtotal (of the refunded item) + Tip (if any). This amount is deducted from your Balance.
Refund amount to the merchant = Base cost (of the refunded item) + Processing fee + Payment fee + Tax (included in price). This amount is added to your Balance.

The refund amount in your profit calculation in the order detail includes a refund for the order subtotal and the order shipping fee, and is calculated using the following formula: Refunded = Subtotal (of the refunded item) + Shipping.
The refund amount for customers includes a payment fee. Therefore, it will be higher than the refund amount in your profit calculation.
The amount that is collected from PlusBase orders will be moved to Available soon which will become Available to payout after 24 hours since the order placement. Please refer to this article to understand more about your ShopBase Balance and know how to request a payout from PlusBase to your PingPong or Payoneer account.
With orders showing signs of fraud or orders that need to be confirmed by the customers due to their order's update or other reasons, the amount of that order will be held and will be moved to Available to payout later.
You should request a payout during business hours for the earliest approval.
