Set up preview for ShopBase products
For products with personalization, preview feature will help customers visualize their product with personalized elements. This will encourage customers to buy more products, which will increase your store's conversion rates. In this article, we'll walk you through setting up preview feature for your ShopBase personalized products.
All actions, which include updating or deleting a preview image, are recorded in your Activity log page.

To create preview feature for your ShopBase personalized products, you will need to upload a preview image, create layers of personalization, and set up custom options by following these steps:
From your ShopBase admin site, go to Products > All products and choose the product you want to set up preview for.
In Personalization, click Create preview image.
In the Create preview page, click Upload your preview image to upload a Preview image for the product. The uploaded image should not have any personalized option as these custom options will be set up in the next steps.
Continue to add layers to set up personalization for your product in Layers.
Click Add text to add a text layer. This is suitable for products with Text field, Text area, Radio, and/or Droplist custom options that allow customers to add or choose a suggested text for their product.
You can click on each text layer to edit Text, Size, Color, Location, Layer size, Rotation, and Opacity. You can select a font from ShopBase system, or click Add new fonts to upload a new font upon your wish.
You can apply Stroke and Curve effects on your text layer. Please refer to this article for more information on special effects on text layers.
Click Add image to add an image layer. This is suitable for products with Image and/or Picture choice custom options that allow customers to upload their own images or select their favorite image from a list of pictures.
You can click on each image layer to edit Location, Layer size, Rotation, and Opacity.
In the demo product of this article, customers can upload their own image and write their couple names. Therefore, one image layer and one text layer should be created in this step.
Layers created in the Create preview page will be synchronized to the Print file.
When new layers are updated in your preview image, you can quickly sync the new changes to your print file by clicking on Update Print file. Then, the new layers will be scaled to fit while maintaining their relative positions, avoiding extensive editing in the print file.
You can hide the layer for a custom option that is difficult to see in the preview image (for example, custom options to edit text on the shirt sleeve - this part is hidden in the preview image) by clicking on the "eye" icon. Customers can still customize these layers as usual, but they will be unable to preview them. In addition, this layer is still visible in the product's print file.
You can combine layers into different groups to easily organize and manage them, as well as to create products with multiple design versions for your customers to choose from. Please refer to this article for more information about layer groups.
Add custom options for your products by clicking the + button in Custom options and filling in all required conditions. Please refer to this article on how to create custom options for your products.
For the demo product of this article, two custom options with Text field and Image type should be created in this step.
Once you finish, click Save. If you want to create a Print file for your product, click Next, create Print file. Please refer to this article on how to create Print file for your ShopBase products.
When duplicating a product or cloning a product to another store, any relevant preview image will also be duplicated to the new product.
There are two modes of personalization preview for products with personalization features:
Instant live preview: results will be shown immediately on the product's mockup.
Live preview button: results will be shown once you click on the Preview your design button.
