Install Hotjar Tracking Code
Hotjar is a website visitor behavior analysis tool through the heat mapping tool. In this article, we will guide you to install the Hotjar tracking code for your ShopBase store.
Go to Hotjar homepage and register for a new account. After completing the personal information and usage purpose, you will be directed to a new page where you can click on Copy to clipboard to copy the Hotjar code and paste into the store. This enables Hotjar to collect and analyze data about user behavior on the site.
In case you have had a Hotjar account, after logging in, visit Sites & Organizations and click on the Tracking Code. Then, you will be directed to a new page where you can click on Copy to clipboard to copy the Hotjar code and paste into the store
From ShopBase admin site, go to Online Stores > Preferences.
Navigate to the Additional scripts section and paste the copied code in section 1.
Click Save.
Go back to Sites & Organizations, click Verify installation.
You will be directed to your store on a new window and see this notification after a few seconds, if the installation is successful:
