Klaviyo is an email marketing platform frequently used by e-commerce businesses thanks to its powerful SMS and email marketing automation. Setting up Klaviyo for your store helps you send email campaigns to your customers, thereby improving customer engagement with your business, and increasing revenue with customized campaigns for each customer group. This article will show you how to integrate Klaviyo into your store.

Step by Step Tutorial

Visit Klaviyo homepage, create a Klaviyo account or log in to your account.

In your Klaviyo main menu, navigate to Account.


Click on Settings > API Keys.


Copy Public API Key of your account as in the image below.


From your ShopBase admin, navigate to Marketing & Sales > Marketing emails and select Klaviyo.


Paste the Klaviyo API Key you copied in step 4 to Public API Key in Klaviyo Tracking section.


Click Save.

At the time your Public API key is saved, all current customer data in your store will be synced to the corresponding account as Klaviyo profiles.
Click Send sample of tracking events to Klaviyo if you want to test the event data synced to Klaviyo, or need some available event data to start setting up Klaviyo campaigns and automated flows. Then, ShopBase will automatically use your store’s customer email to create a new profile on Klaviyo, and a sample of events linked to the profile will be sent to your account.
