Changes when turning on abandoned checkout SMS
When abandoned checkout SMS is set up for your store, you will need to manually update your privacy policy to inform customers about text notifications. Some settings regards to your store's checkout page will also be automatically updated.

Before you activate Abandoned checkout SMS for your store, your customers should be informed of SMS notifications they will receive when subscribing to exclusive offers from your store in the Checkout page.
From your ShopBase admin site, go to Setting > Legal > Privacy Policy.
Paste the following paragraph into your store's Privacy policy:
Text Marketing and notifications: By subscribing to text notifications you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. HELP for help. Msg & Data rates may apply. More info view Privacy Policy and ToS.
The paragraph should be added to the position as below:
In Setting > Checkout of your ShopBase admin site:
In Email marketing section, 2 options will be auto-selected: Show up a sign-up option at checkout and Preselect the sign-up option.
In Form options section, Optional in Shipping address phone number will be selected.
In Marketing & Sales > Marketing emails > Abandoned Checkout Recovery: In Abandoned checkouts text message section, please add an Opt-out text that includes "Reply STOP".
On your store's checkout page
The checkout page will have some changes in texts of customer information form:
For One Page Checkout
The option Keep me up to date on news and exclusive offers will be shown under Place Your Order button.
For 3-step Checkout
The option Sign up for exclusive offers and news via emails and/or text messages will be shown under Contact information.
The field Phone (optional) will be changed to Phone number for updates and exclusive offers.
Legal page (Privacy Policy) page
The following content will be displayed at the bottom of the checkout page. There will be a link to direct your customers to the Privacy policy page.
If your Privacy policy page does not exist, we will automatically create it for you. You can go to Settings > Legal to modify the content after.
