Set Up Email with Google Workspace for Domains Purchased on ShopBase.

In this article, we will show you how to set up email with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) for domains you purchased on ShopBase in two steps: first, claim domain ownership by copying the TXT Record code provided by Google and pasting it into the domain manager on the ShopBase admin page; then, add MX Records to enable email for your domain.

Before setting up email with Google Workplace, please follow the instructions in this article to buy a domain from ShopBase.

Go to Google Workspace, click Get started.


Enter your enterprise information.


Enter you personal information.


Click Yes, I have one I can use.


Enter your domain, click Next.


Click Next.


Enter the email with your domain, password and click Agree and continue.


Click Go to setup.


Log into the email you've registered.


Click Accept.


You will be led to Google admin site, click Domains > Domain management.




Click Setup Admin Console.


Click Verify.


Click Continue.


Scroll down, click Copy to copy the TXT records.


Go to your ShopBase admin site, go to Online Store > Domains. Click on the domain you want to set up email in ShopBase-managed domains.


Click Add TXT Record, paste the code copied in step 15 and click Add to claim ownership to Google.





A domain can be added to many TXT records.

B. Add MX Records



From your ShopBase admin site, go to Online Store > Domains. Click on the domain you want to set up email in ShopBase-managed domains.


Click Add MX Record, the system will add MX Records for you.


If the screen displays this, you are successful with Add MX Record. MX Records added from third party websites will also be listed here.



When you go to the trash can icon to delete MX Records, only MX Records added from ShopBase system are deleted. The MX Records from 3rd party system will be preserved and not deleted.
