A. Add a product image

You can add up to 250 images for a product. When you add a product image, ShopBase automatically creates different sizes for use in different areas of your online store theme.

Walkthrough:

From the Products page, click a product to see its details page.

In the Images section, either drag and drop images from your computer or click one of the Add image links

If you add more than one image, then the largest one shown is your product's main image. You can set a new main image by dragging a different image to its place. You can also sort the other images by dragging them.

B. Add alt text to product images

Alt (alternate) text describes an image and is an important part of a product description. If an image can't load for any reason, then alt text is shown instead. It's also used by assistive technology to describe an image to a customer who's visually impaired. Including alt text will boost your website's SEO.

Keep your alt text brief and descriptive. The maximum length is 512 characters, but 125 or less is recommended.

Walkthrough:

From your ShopBase admin, go to Products.

Click the name of the product that you want to edit.

Hover over the product image and click ALT:

Add or edit your alt text in** Image alt text.**

Click Save.

C. Add an image to a variant

Walkthrough:

From your ShopBase admin, go to Products.

Click the name of the product that you want to edit.

In the Variants section, click** Add variant** or Edit existing variants.

While Editing the variant, click Choose image on the variant details page.

Drop file to add a new image.

Click Save.

Note

When a product has below 10 images, the images will show as grid. From 10 images or more, image list will show as slider.
