A. What is Custom Art service?

Custom Art service offers a solution for personalized campaigns with complex and unique design ideas. Merchants can utilize sample campaigns from our library and get our design team to re-design personalized orders before fulfilling them.


In this campaign, for example, customers will send an image of their pet to the merchant in order to receive a Van Gogh-style painting of their pet. The merchant must then remove any unnecessary background from the image before applying the Van Gogh effect. This re-designing process can be very difficult and time-consuming for merchants, especially when dealing with a large number of orders without a design team.



Now, instead of designing by yourself, or hiring a design team, you can request our design team to manually design and prepare each item of order with personalized campaign using PrintBase and ShopBase (PrintHub) Custom Art service. Our design team will assist you in re-designing your artwork using guided materials provided from your end along with image and text from customers.

C. What are changes to the fulfillment process?

It will take an additional step in the fulfillment process for our design team to manually re-design artwork before orders are fulfilled. Therefore, orders with Custom Art might take an additional 1-4 days on normal processing time.

D. How is design fee calculated?

Design fee for each order with Custom Art is $3.5 and is calculated based on each different design. For example, if an order has 2 items with same design, design fee is $3.5. If an order has 2 items with 2 different designs, design fee is $7. The order profit is then calculated using the following formula:

Profit = Revenue - Total base cost - Handling fee

In which:

Revenue = Order subtotal - Store discount (if any) (shipping fee and taxes are not included)
Total base cost = Sum of [Base cost of each product x Quantity]
Handling fee = Payment fee + Processing fee + Design fee
Payment fee = [Revenue + Shipping fee + Taxes] x 3%
Processing fee = [Revenue - Total base cost - Payment fee - Design fee] x 4%

Design fee will be refunded to merchants when order is cancelled within 6 hours since the time of order placement.

* Shipping fee or US sales tax (if applicable) will be deducted from your profit if the settings for Free shipping rates is enabled in Settings > Shipping and Show all prices with tax included is enabled in Settings > Taxes.
