A. What is a signup form?

A signup form is a tool to collect information from your website visitors. This can include contact information, like an email address. It can also include other personal information, like names, birthdays, or what type of products a customer is interested in.

Signup forms can be popup forms, exit intent popups, newsletter signups or other such forms displayed or embedded on the website. The average popup converts 3.2% of website visitors, which helps brands keep in touch with people who didn’t immediately make a purchase from the website. Even the top 10% of popups see double that in conversion (7.8%).

Some principles will help you design a successful signup form:

Keep your style simple: When you cram too much information into a single form, you distract from your form’s main goal and make it harder for a site visitor to say “yes”. Keep it simple so it’s as easy as possible for your visitors to understand and fill out your form.
Design for the total experience: It’s easy to get lost trying to find the perfect color or layout. Successful signup forms are about more than just a first impression. When designing your next form, consider your subscribers’ experiences before, during, and after they encounter your form.
Collect the right data: Most signup forms ask for your email address or phone number, but more data can help you build powerful connections with subscribers. Knowing when to ask for more, and what to ask for, will help make it a no-brainer for subscribers to tell you more about themselves.

B. Enable ShopBase native signup forms on your store

ShopBase provides native signup forms in app SiteKit Promotion Bar & Popup with 2 powerful features:

Smart Bar helps you draw your visitors' attention by displaying the title bar to inform promotions, offers, freshly launched products, or to promote email subscriptions for updated information on new offers from the store. Smart Bar delivers messages to visitors without interrupting their shopping flow.
Popup helps you convert more leads into potential customers by using different kinds of popups on your website. They are used with the purpose of encouraging users to take different actions on your website.

C. Enable Klaviyo signup forms on your store

Set up your forms

Visit Klaviyo homepage, create a Kalviyo account or log in to your account.

In your Klaviyo main menu, navigate to Signup Forms > Create Signup Form.

Here you can select one of pre-built forms to start customizing or design your own form by clicking on Build from Scratch.

Select desired form type. There are 3 types of Klaviyo signup forms:

Popups appear in the middle of the browser's window. A popup is attention-grabbing, and is best used for important offers or critical messaging. Popups have the highest conversion rate of any form type.
Flyouts slide into the browser's window from any direction you select. These, like popups, can be used to get someone to accomplish something or redirect them, but because it’s a less intrusive option, you can use it to gather information about your browsers in a passive way.
Embedded forms appear where you paste the provided code snippet on your site. Embedded forms are the least intrusive signup form and are typically used in the footer of a site to collect email addresses.

Enter Name and choose the Email subscriber list. All subscribers who submit emails via this form will appear in the selected list. Then, click Save and Continue to Design.

Start designing your form, then select form status and click on Publish to save.

In case your form is embed, copy the provided embed code.

Please refer to this guide from Klaviyo for more instructions.

Add your popups and flyouts to ShopBase

When you successfully integrate Klaviyo to ShopBase, your live popup and flyout forms will be automatically displayed on all pages of your store.

Add your embed forms to ShopBase

Because embed forms appear only where you paste the provided code snippet on your site, you will need to set up it on your ShopBase admin by going to Online store > Themes > Customize.

Select the page where you want to add the embed form from the dropdown menu.

Click Add section > Custom HTML and drag this section to the desired position on the page.

Please refer to this article for more information on sections in Theme Editor 2.0.
Paste the copied code to HTML field.

Click Save.
