View contacts session history

By viewing your customer's session history, you can evaluate the effectiveness of each traffic source and marketing campaign on your orders.

Step by Step Tutorial



From your ShopBase admin site, go to Contacts > All Contacts. Select the contact you want to view session history of.



In the customer detail page, you can view the customer's session history in Last session and UTM parameters sections.

Source identifier: The channel that brought customers to your store.
Referring site: The URL that brought customers to your store.
First page visited: The first page customers visited before purchasing the order.
Source: The value of utm_source in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Medium: The value of utm_medium in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Campaign: The value of utm_campaign in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Term: The value of utm_term in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Content: The value of utm_content in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.


Click View all sessions in Last session to view all sessions that your customer had on your store. In the Session history pop-up, you can find the following information:

TOTAL SESSIONS: shows the total number of sessions the customer had on your store.
ACTIVITY: shows the source and date of each session.


You can click on View full session to view the following information:

The exact date and time of the session.
Source identifier: The channel that brought customers to your store.
Referring site: The URL that brought customers to your store.
First page visited: The first page customers visited before purchasing the order.

You can also view details of UTM parameters:

Source: The value of utm_source in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Medium: The value of utm_medium in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Campaign: The value of utm_campaign in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Term: The value of utm_term in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
Content: The value of utm_content in URL corresponding to the first page customers visited.
