Verify domain ownership on ShopBase with Meta (Facebook) Business Manager
This article will guide you on how to verify domain ownership on ShopBase with Meta Business Manager (Facebook Business Manager). We provide 2 different methods: meta-tag verification and DNS verification.
A. Verify domains with a meta-tag
B. Verify domains with a TXT record
Log in to Meta Business Manager and select Business Settings.
Select Brand Safety and Suitability > Domains.
Click Add > Create a new domain and enter your domain in the pop-up.
Select Add a meta-tag to your HTML source code and copy the meta-tag following Meta's guide.
Log in to your ShopBase store:
If you use the Theme from Theme Editor, go to Online Store > Preferences > Additional scripts, then paste the copied meta-tag from step 4 in the <head> setion, then click Save.
If you use the Template from Website Builder, go to Online Store > Design > Customize. Then click Website Settings > General > Additional Scripts.
Go back to the previous Domains page in Meta Business Manager and click Verify Domain to finish verifying domain ownership.
Under some circumstances, it might take up to 72 hours for Meta to finish verifying your domain. The status of your domain will switch to Verified once this process is completed.
Log in to Meta Business Manager and select Business Settings.

Select Update the DNS TXT record with your domain registrar and copy the TXT record following Meta's guide.
Log in to your domain registrar and visit the DNS settings page. Then, add the TXT record (copied from step 4) to your DNS configuration.
If your domain was bought from ShopBase, please follow these steps below:
Log in to your ShopBase store, go to Online store > Domains and click on the domain you want to verify in ShopBase-managed domains section.
Click Add TXT record in Domain ownership verification.
Enter the copied record in step 4 and click Add.
After adding the TXT record, return to Meta Business Manager and click Verify domain to finish verifying domain ownership.
Multiple TXT records can be added to one domain.
Under some circumstances, it might take up to 72 hours for Meta to finish verifying your domain. The status of your domain will switch to Verified once this process is completed.
