A. View an online course content

From your ShopBase Creator admin, go to Products. After creating an online course, you can select it to set up the content.

Click on the Content tab to view and edit the content of your online course. An online course will have 2 main content layers:

Chapter: A chapter is a group of lessons on the same topic. To make it easier for members to learn and follow your course, divide it into smaller chapters.
Lesson: A lesson is a lecture or module in your online course. A lesson can be in a form of text, videos, resource files, and more. You can create multiple lessons within a chapter.

To rearrange the order of chapter/lesson, click and drag it to your desired position.

Click a chapter/lesson to edit it.

Click on the eye icon to view the chapter/lesson on your website.

B. Create a chapter

In the detail page of your online course, click on the Content tab to create a new chapter.

Click on Add chapter to create a new chapter for your online course.

In the Title section, you can enter a name for the chapter. It is recommended to keep the title short and informative to give buyers an overview of the lessons included in this chapter.

In Description, write a concise and clear description for the chapter.

In Status, the Unpublished status will be enabled by default for new chapters. You can click on Publish to publish your chapter when it is ready to go live.

Click Save to create your chapter.

C. Create a lesson

In the detail page of your online course, click on the Content tab to create a new lesson.

In a chapter, click Add lesson to add a lesson to that chapter.

In Title, enter a name for your lesson.

The following elements can be added to a Lesson:

Video
Image
Text
Resource files

The most common type of lesson content is video. It is best suited for conveying a large amount of information to both visual and auditory learners. This is the most engaging and vivid method for representing content.

To add a video to your lesson, click on Upload file to upload the video directly from your device.

You can also paste the video URL from YouTube or Vimeo in the Or embed external link section and click Add.

Please refer to this article for the list of supported video formats.
The video uploading process will continue even when you switch to another page in your admin in the current tab of your browser. Do NOT close the tab or your browser as this will interrupt the uploading process and all changes will be lost.
Infographic images can be an alternative to videos if your lesson contains diagrams or illustrations, which can help to learn effectively, or simply for decorative purposes to make the lesson more interesting.

To add an image to your lesson, click on Upload file to upload the image directly from your device.

You can also paste the image URL in the or embed external link section and click Add.

The image URL should be a public link that is viewable to anyone who has the link.
You can add texts to your lesson in the Notes section. Text is an important piece of content that allows you to express your knowledge in words. This also allows you to add your own comments and insights to your lesson videos. You can use the text editor to make sure the text format is appealing and easy to understand.

In the Attachments section, you can upload additional resource files to provide extra learning resources to your course members. These resource files can be downloadable templates, presentation documents, external links, etc.

To add a resource file to your lesson, click on Upload file to upload the file directly from your device.

You can also paste the file URL in the or embed external link section and click Add.

The file URL should be a public link that is viewable to anyone who has the link.
You can upload multiple files, change their sort order, or rename files to make them more appealing and understandable to members.

To reorder files, click and drag the file to your desired position.

To rename a file, double-click on its name or click on the Edit name button.

To delete a file, click on the trash can button.

Please refer to this article for the list of supported attachment file formats.
