URL redirect feature is used to shorten links or redirect URLs from one web page to another. It helps you to have a short link a of product page using your own domain. Or if you delete a product, you can create a URL redirect so that when customers click the old URL of that product, they will be redirected to the new product on your ShopBase store.

A. How to set up URL Redirect on ShopBase?

Go to Online Store in Admin Dashboard > click Navigation > choose URL Redirects

Click here to create new URL Redirects

Click Create URL Redirect

In Redirect from field, enter the original URL that you want to forward visitors from. Usually, only broken URLs and URLs moved to different URLs should be redirected.

You can't redirect URLs that begin with the following prefixes: /apps, /application, /cart, /orders, /shop, or /services.

In Redirect to field, enter the new URL that you want to forward visitors to. If you want to redirect your store's homepage, enter /.

Enter your URL Redirects to and URL Redirects from

The new URL can be either a shortened URL (for example, /collection/products) or a full URL (for example, http://www.abc.com/collection/products). You can use a short URL or a full URL to redirect URL within your primary domain; however, you can only use a full URL to redirect URL outside your primary domain.

Click Save Redirect and you are ready to go.

B. How to manage your URL Redirects?

You could easily manage URL Redirects on your ShopBase store by carrying out the following functions such as: importing, exporting, editing, and deleting; just go to Online store in Admin Dashboard, click Navigation and choose URL Redirects.

1. Import your URL redirects

Click Import

Click Choose File and select a CSV file

Click Import redirects

You can download a sample URL redirect CSV file to use as a template.

Click here to import your desired redirects

2. Export your URL redirects

Click Export.

Choose desired redirects to export and select which type of CSV file to export.

Click Export redirects.

Select the redirects and type of CSV file you want to export

3. Edit URL redirects

Click the URL redirect that you want to edit.

Enter your changes.

Click Save redirect.

4. Delete URL redirects

You can URL redirects individually by selecting the URL redirect that you want to delete and click Delete.

In addition, if you want to delete many URL redirects at once, click the box to the left of Redirect from, hit Action Button and Delete selected redirects.
