Before connecting, you must have a PayPal Pro Gateway account, know your API credentials, know your endpoint and Sandbox account. Check the step A below for details.

You can only connect to payment gateways when you have chosen a subscription plan. Otherwise, there will be a warning message as follows:

Step-by-step guide:

A. Set up the PayPal Pro Business Account and Sandbox Account

PayPal Manager Partner
PayPal Manager Vendor
PayPal Manager User
PayPal Manager Password

B. Get the Client ID and Secret Key

C. Activate PayPal Pro as your payment method

A. Set up PayPal Pro Business Account and Sandbox Account

Create a Payflow Pro Gateway account.

Or you can create a Test account (Sandbox)

B. Get the Client ID and Secret Key

You will need to get the PayPal Manager Partner, PayPal Manager Vendor, PayPal Manager User, PayPal Manager Password on your PayPal account for later steps.


Log in with your Account

Click Account Administration. Then choose Manage Users

Click Add User if you haven’t had an account. Click on user name to login if you already had an account

All information you have to fill or copy is here. Save it to use in step C

C. Activate PayPal Pro as your payment method

Go to ShopBase store admin >> Settings >> Payment Providers >> Add another account and click to choose Paypal Pro

Enter your merchant info from step B above.

On PayPal Manager Partner >> add the Partner information
On PayPal Manager Vendor >> add the Merchant Login
On PayPal Manager User >> add the User Login Name
On PayPal Manager Password >> add the PayPal Manager Password.

Click Activate.

Use Test mode if you just want to test the store.

If you want to activate 3-D Secure as well, check this instruction.

That's all and you are now ready to receive customers' purchases via PayPal Pro.

Note: To keep your account safe, ShopBase will not send any information related to your store, including your store name, store domain, product name, etc. to payment gateways to help prevent your account from being restricted.

D. Deactivate your PayPal Pro account

After connecting your PayPal Pro account to the store, you can deactivate anytime and still be able to re-activate it later with the same or different credentials.
