Live View gives you a real-time view of the activities on your store using a two-dimensional world map and key metrics. With this feature, you can instantly monitor what activities are currently taking place on your online store and which countries your customers are coming from. It's especially useful during high-traffic periods, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and when you want to see the immediate results of your recent marketing activities, discounts, or other promotions.

This article will guide you on how to open the store's Live View dashboard on your admin page.

Step by Step Tutorial

From your ShopBase admin site, go to Analytics > Live View.

On the Live View page, you can see the following metrics:
Visitors right now: Number of visitors who have been active on your online store in the past 10 minutes. To remain active, the visitor must view a page or click a button on your online store.
Total sessions: Total number of sessions on your online store during the current day.
Total sales: Total value of sales based on the orders on your online store during the current day.
Total orders: Total number of orders placed on your online store during the current day.

You can interact with the map to get more information about the visitors and orders shown, including:
Drag the map to reposition it.
Use the + and - buttons to zoom in or out into a geographic area. You can also zoom into a specific area on the map by double-clicking it.
Gray dots indicate recent visitor sessions, and blue dots indicate orders of the related provinces or countries during the past 10 minutes. You can see the exact number of visits and orders in each area by clicking on each dot.

In Pageviews, you can see the number of page views of your online store by visitors over the past 30 minutes. Each bar shows the number of page views at every minute. The last bar shows the page views occurring in the current minute.
If a customer clicks reload after reaching a page, this is counted as an additional pageview.
If a customer navigates to a different page and then returns to the original page, this is also counted as an additional pageview.

In Customer behavior, you can see the number of sessions on your online store in the last 10 minutes that have added items to their cart, reached the checkout, or made purchases.
Active cart: In the last 10 minutes, the number of active sessions that have added one or more items to shopping carts. This number is usually lower than the number of visitors because some visitors view products without adding any items to their cart.
Checking out: In the last 10 minutes, the number of active sessions that have added one or more items to shopping carts, proceeded to the checkout, and submitted contact information. This number is usually lower than the Active carts number because some visitors add items to their cart but don't go to the checkout or don't submit their contact information.
Purchased: In the last 10 minutes, the number of sessions that have added one or more items to shopping carts, proceeded to the checkout, and then successfully purchased the items. This number is usually lower than the Checking out number because some visitors leave the checkout without purchasing anything.

Live View Data is shown in your store’s time zone.
The term Session used in this article indicates a group of user interactions with your website that take place within a given time frame. For example, a session can contain multiple actions of viewing products, adding products to cart, reaching checkout, and converting session. A session will be calculated from the time users access the website. Each session will last for a day.
